PIM records highest revenue in history in 2021
In 2021, the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM) had revenues of R$ 158.62 billion, which represents an increase of 31.9% compared to the total calculated in 2020 (R$ 120.26 billion) and establishes a new sales record for the Manaus Free Trade Zone. In dollars, PIM's revenue between January and December of last year totaled US$ 29.40 billion, equivalent to a growth of 28.21% compared to 2020 (US$ 22.93 billion).
Exports also closed 2021 on a high. With US$ 449,084 million invoiced between January and December by the industries of the Manaus Free Trade Zone in the international market, the PIM recorded an increase of 14.22% compared to the 2020 result (US$ 393,171 million) and also achieved its best result since 2018, when exports totaled US$ 545,752 million.
The workforce employed by the PIM, in turn, also showed an evolution in relation to 2020. In the month of December, specifically, the Hub employed 100,747 workers, including permanent, temporary and outsourced workers, which made the monthly average of jobs of the PIM in 2021 was established at 103,506 workers - an increase of 9.34% compared to the monthly average of jobs in 2020 (94,663 workers).
