Amazonas GDP grows 2% in the fourth quarter and ends the year 2021 with growth of 16.9%

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Amazonas, referring to the year 2021, recorded figures of R$ 126.31 billion and a nominal growth of 16.93% compared to 2020. In the fourth quarter, the value was R$ 32, 85 billion, which represents a nominal growth of 12.92% compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, and real growth of 2.60%. In relation to the third quarter of 2021, nominal growth was 1.92% and -1.01% for the real. The information is from the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation (Sedecti).

The Industry Sector totaled an amount of R$ 38 billion and a growth of 18.49% compared to 2020. The Monthly Industrial Survey (PIM), from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), pointed out that the The volume of the Amazonian industry grew 7.38% in the comparison between the years 2021 and 2020.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, Industry totaled a volume of BRL 9.88 billion. The IBGE's PIM pointed out that, in relation to the fourth quarter of 2020, the General Industry showed a decrease in production volume of -8.11%, and in relation to the fourth quarter of 2020, growth of 2.64% compared to the third quarter of 2021.
